I was in Taqueria La Familia<\/a> today,
having an excellent pescado burrito,
and listening to the cumbia<\/a> that was
coming over the radio, when\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kristi Noem\u2019s DHS spot totally killed the vibe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can\u2019t believe they are selling ads like that in California,
but I guess these big media companies don\u2019t care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She literally says
\u201cYOU ARE NEXT\u201d and
\u201cYOU SHOULD LEAVE THE COUNTRY NOW.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have left the country,
(in my heart)
I\u2019m not at home in any place where
words like that
come across the radio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radio has been a kind of church to me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s hitting me hard, what\u2019s happening.
I\u2019m here,
and I\u2019m crying a lot,
and you\u2019ll mostly find me
in person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
